FAIRBANKS TIME/TEMP

SUMMER SPORTS

The vastness and beauty of Interior Alaska has always inspired residents and visitors alike to paint vastly varied colors upon its canvas.  The city of Fairbanks hosts many wonders of nature and man, and for a century has challenged its residents to prove their mettle on its fields of work and play.

In summertime the locals, anxious to stretch their legs after a winter of confining cold, focus their attention on outdoor sport.  Fairbanksans have always been great lovers of the game of baseball, in particular.   For at least 98 years, the town has celebrated the summer solstice with a Midnight Sun Baseball Game
